Jennie Garth was born on April 3, 1972 in Urbana, Illinois, USA. Determined to become an actress, she left school and moved to Los Angeles during her junior year in high school.
After taking acting lessons and going to auditions daily, she landed the role of Erica McCray in A Brand New Life. She also appeared in the sitcom Growing Pains.
She became widely recognized for her role as Kelly Taylor in Beverly Hills, 90210. She went on to star as Valerie Tyler in the sitcom What I Like About You alongside Amanda Bynes.
